Here's a pic of my two beautiful boys and their COOL tio Law-law. Of course his impeccable taste for coolness drew my boys straight to his HAT! (way cool) .... So the two following pics are my boys wearing his hat.... they look just as cool as he does - don't you think so? sorry i forgot to rotate the pic of Q....the one thing i don't like about iphoto...
This last picture is YES my five year old cozy-ing up to the bar... He had a lemonade during his first trip and then switched to water on all future trips. He pretty much hung out at the bar the whole time his lil' bro danced on the dance floor. Ask marcel about his trickle whip and funk-a-dilly moves. He'll give ya an earful about how cool he is :)
love - love - love my precious boys :)

my family
One super great reason about being closer to "home" (where i grew up) is being able to partake in cool family festivities :) My cousin CJ got married this weekend to a lovely woman named Jessica. Here are some random shots at the wedding.... They are pics of my lovely family!
Here's bammer, grandma and grandpa valenzuela. Bob is a marine - he's going back to iraq soon - pray about that......
Here's Kai and her girlfriend Kari (hope i spelt that right) They are super cute! Had fun getting to know kari for the first time :)
OK fun shot.... my cousin Mary blowing in the wind.... I really like this shot because I have been getting to know my cousin mary better over the past few months since we have moved back and she's just sooooooo sweet. She's like a butterfly. She is soaring in her own beauty to womanhood. I love how confident and independent she is. So proud of her!
OH - here's my grandfolks again - they won the couple married the longest amount of time at the wedding :) 62 years!!! Stoked aye. Their advice to the newly married couple - honestly, faithfulness and live a long life together! (sweet)

January Book Club Kit
Here is a pic of my finished book from January book club kit. It is a book made out of file folders (cut in half) and the content is about my resolutions for 2008. It's the first year i have ever wrote any resolutions down on paper. So I am actually taking them more serious :)
Resolution number one: take care of me....so I can take better care of my boys.
Resolution number two: plant roots spread wings..... my favorite page cuz I'm totally into wings right now:) ask linda about my ticket and wing obsessions..... I found some cool heidi swapp rub on wings -and i rubbed them onto transparency and glued them behind my "free" downloaded digi tree from creating keepsakes.com
Here's the kit from February. I have already made two -two page layouts from the kit and I am working on an accordian heart shaped book that will fit into an altered candy heart shaped almond roca box :)

Red Locker
Look what I put together this weekend.... a bright big red locker for all my paper crafts to be stored in! It's sooooo cool - I never had a locker in high school so the fact that I have one now is really kinda fun. I really felt kinda bummed that I had to store my crafting stuff in the garage.... so it was fun to pick something out that would be inspiring rather than your everyday average ordinary garage storage unit. Anyhow it works for me.... I actually want to store in the house (the dinning room) but I'm not sure my husband would go for it? OH yeah - I bought it a IKEA! I put it together ALL BY MYSELF! (huge miracle....trust me)
Ciao 4 now,

My mom, aka Nana, came to visit this weekend with my grandma, aka Grandma Mary. My boys were sooooo sweet and so cute with their great grandma. Of course my grandma is super sweet and sooo excited to hang out with them too! Anyhow, I don't know why but I did not snap any pics with them and Grandma Mary :( but I did snap this pic of this COOL lucky bamboo she brought for us! I've never seen it shaped like that. Cool - eh?

Love my boys
I was convinced my hubby didn't do anything for valentines day...... turns out he surprised me with a ice cream cake.... he ordered it like TWO weeks ago!!! He took my two little sons to the ice cream shop and picked out my favorite ice cream and had a cake made for me! How sweet is he?
I also scored in the gift department! I got the cutest PINK nano! WOW - I was really shocked... a few weeks back I sent him an email of the super sweet colors that nanos come in.... kinda half joking.... and never thought twice about it since then..... He special ordered one and had it engraved for me, too !
I feel bad because all I did was give him two valentine cards! WOOPS.... Thank you sweetheart! Sorry I was skeptical.... you surprised me. You are still romantic after 13 valentines celebrated together ;)

RAT-A-TOO-EEEE
My very own linguini on a FULL force adventure with his grammy and papa! He went to the wharf in Monterey (i think this a cannery row restaurant). He had the time of his life! He got to stay in a hotel where they even left chocolates on his pillow (and grammy and papa's pillow too!) Well - the boys are truly into rat-a-tou-eee (it's a cute little movie) and this picture is a great one for him to remember how much fun he had with his grandparents!
What a lucky boy!

love letters
Hey y'all,
Here's what I've been working on the past few days. Love letter satchels for Q's kindergarten class. They are going to exchange their valentines next week and they get to keep all their letters from one another in this mail satchel. It's a big felt envelope (12x12 inches square) . I added a fabric triangle of heartsy fabric to keep all the letters securely inside :)
My biggest concern is that the boys in his class might think it's a "purse"???? but if you remember the old timey mail carriers and their mail messenger bags..... this is what it reminded me of...... I haven't yet attached the straps cuz I can't decide if I should make them backpacks or mail satchels.....
What do you think????

My word for 2008
Ok - so it's a little late but I finally decided on a word for 2008 - Inspiration. My goal it to find it in all things, give it to whom ever I can and just plain LIVE IT!! So I actually made my FIRST ever layout for my book club and actually first layout ever! and here's what it looks like!! I guess I have to buy a book to put it in now.......:) Cheers!
I ran ribbon thru the scalloped border of the white cardstock (given to me at the book club) and backed it on the hot pink cardstock (i used fabric tec - my almost favorite glue....) Then I made the little envelope enclosure from an ellison die cut to "unveil" my word for 2008. I put wings behind my word cuz I want to soar......find my wings.....thru inspiration. The quote on the bottom is the marianne williamson quote from akeelah and the bee movie Such a rad and inspiring quote. My sister in law was the first person to tell me bout the quote, she is very much a source of inspiration for me.
