light at the end of the tunnel

today i at toast! and held it down - YAHOO! also - I graduated from the bed to the couch..... :)

there is a light at the end of the tunnel........ no pics ..... (i have taken zero pics this week........ but i did take a pic everyday last week - i met my goal! )

I think i got some kinda food poisoning over the weekend - blah..... I'm sick - nausea - vomit - spinning - sleeping - my hubby has been awesome :) blog at you soon...

Snails....

Thanks to one of my (blog) postings, I received a recommendation for some snail bait that is "earth friendly" - of course :) As I was having a snail colony in my front yard.... Anyhow - SLUGGO rocks! Our flowers have actually started to come back to life and it's lovely to drive up to the casa and see pretty colors in the flower beds - here's a shot of a really pretty orange flower saved by SLUGGO .

I FELL OFF the WAGON of "taking a picture a day" I actually fell off back in feburary... just took me this long to get up the courage to admit it...... I'm taking her challenge to take a time period and commit to that..... a week and month yada yada yada --

I will start with ONE WEEK - this week - and i'm off to take my picture for the day :)

3 mini books

book one - "EARTH FRIENDLY"
Word Out!! - a book made from the three R's through and through...... The book itself is an index card holder - repurposed as an "anna original" . It's cool to me because it's semi transparent (which is what i'm into...) So - there are NO pictures in the book just articles and images I have been collecting over the past 6 months about recycling - the do's and don'ts (so to speak) I have binded my pages together with transparent duct tape. (another really thing).



book two - "The Adventurous book of boys"
It's my play on the "Dangerous Book of boys" This book was made for Q - with cute K&Co paper by (donna ingel-something) any how - This is a VERY special book because it's my ACTUAL VERY first project scrapping with pictures. I don't normally scrap with pictures..... (which seems to be the whole thing behind scrapbooking right?) well - this is part of the reason I have a hard time calling myself a "scrapbooker"
Which is why I really like ali's philosphy on "LIFE ARTIST"
blah - blah - blah - i'm rambling.....


book three - "Programmed to play"
a book made for my second adorable son. It's cosmo cricket's new line - cosgo - robot stuff.... fits my little guys personality - he's one in a million this kid and once he gets going..... there's no stopping him. :)

BTW - we do have water in our pool now.... it took 3 days to fill up......

This shot that is sure to make one of my goofy mini albums I am making about my boys doing a funny things. Which I will post the pictures of the books tomorrow!! The first book is about Q - "The Adventurous Book of Boys" The 2nd book is for Marz: ""playtime" a robot shaped book. I am trying to convince myself to submit the robot book to my scrapbooking store to possibly teach a class.... I get the night off (from my boys..) I'll be at book-club tonite - I'll be cropping til close.... YAH!!

maybe I'll have more confidence after CKU..... ?? I'm soooooooo excited to take a class from Ali!! AHHHHHHHH! Ok check out her blog entry today for a really cool class she'll be teaching in WA........

Really big moment for my TBALL Star of the week :)

My son started t-ball a few weeks back and they had a GREAT opening day ceremony - fire trucks- jumpie house - ICE CREAM!!
All the things little boys dream of.... other than making it big... guess what - My boy made the paper!! He was on page A3 - that's when you open the front page and see the third page...... He was right smack dab in the middle!!! SOOOO COOL (he could have been the classified section and I still would have thought it was AMAZING :)


Well super cool papa that he has...... tracked down the color version of the photo and sent it to us :) Thanks papa!!!

So I was kinda ho-hum the other day (saturday) not really feeling the inspiration needed for creating and ding-ding (the doorbell rang)...... Mail guy left a package at the door. Of course my youngest son thought it was a birthday present for himself.... (he wants a yellow transformer - fyi) Anyhow - I said well..... lets look and see if it's your birthday..... opened it - box was for me!! :) early b-day for anna! wooooo-hooo! A few weeks back, I won a "blog prize" from my friend linda's 100th blog publishing event :)

She sent me a gian-normous inspiration package :)

here's just a FEW of the things she put in - of course - my ultimate favorite was the ali edwards book (which i read in 1 1/2 days....) There were loads of super cool goods from her neck of the woods (east texas piney woods) Oh another really cool thing - was the "gleaner zine" Exactly - what's a "gleaner zine"? Check out my link and go see for yourself :)

Anyhow - Linda - you brought back the inspiration need to jump start a project i was working on for my son and finish a bday present for his grammy. So..... THANK YOU! from the bottom (top and middle) of my heart. You are awesome and always so inspiring to me!

what a cool saying!! This was at the "skirball" museum in Los Angeles. It's a jewish center therefore the words above the saying are in hebrew. Check out my link to their museum - go to the image gallery - it's worth it - completely amazing exhibit - and if you are ever in la - it's worth a visit - very inspiring to all. Artist, parents, kids, teachers, christians..... you name it..

Anyhow I am TOTALLY feeling it.... "go forth and be a blessing" .... I need that as a tatoo on my hand .... to remind me to be good at all times....

inchies....

Well - I joined christian paper artist group (thanks to linda :) and I signed up for an inchie swap - It's my very first time making anything like this and it was fun. I hope that i don't get kicked out of the club (though) being a rookie and all - these ladies are really talented!!

I tried to be a little different than my scrappy stuffy - I used tulle, vellum, vinyl, transparency, crackle paint and diamond glaze (and paper, too) these are just a few that i made - the theme was butterflies and bugs (i only made 2 bug ones.... woops) what do yall think?
